No Future Updates
Hello everyone, I just wanted to let you know that this game will not be receiving any future updates.
I made the majority of this game in about 7 days for a game jam as an excuse to how to learn to code a text parser, and while I learned a lot from my time working on it, ultimately this is just a fun small project. I made some non-critical updates a while later, but those were mostly to smooth out the problems I had with the coding in the parser and update some graphics.
I'd rather have a small game I can look back on as a time stamp for my abilities than need to continuously update the same game instead of working on new projects that excite me.
One of the major complaints I get is people not remembering who or what they have searched or talked to, to which I say: the fallacy of memory is the core theme of the game. By not remembering you are directly engaging with my artistic intent.
I know this is not everyone's cup of tea, but it is by design not neglect.
All in all thank you everyone for playing my silly little game!
Edit:
I've removed the line about the phone book. In my head I imagined it simply as a diegetic way to explain why you didn't need to type in numbers to call anyone and could just the name, but it seems to have created a lot of confusion so it's simply been removed.
