When Stephen Hester died, his grave was already occupied.
Leaftaker is a short mystery game deduction game about identifying a body found in a grave. Search the internet, call the locals, and make sure to examine your evidence closely.

It was quite fun. So fun.
Especially d2hlbiBJIHJlYWxpemVkIHRoZSBldmlkZW5jZSBoYWQgY2hhbmdlZCBhZnRlcndhcmQ= —got me all excited. (I've hidden spoiler parts with BASE64 encoding.)
Just a small suggestion, when submitting evidence, a mini word-check would be more comfortable. For clumsy folks like me who typo or misremember “John” as “Jhon”.

I spent an hour and a half with this game getting thoroughly unsettled and spooked by the mystery! Unfortunately I didn't get an ending because no matter how I tried nothing happened when I tried to submit the evidence, even after getting the evidence and following the instructions in the guide. :(
did you make sure to hit 'enter' in each field before hitting the submit button? someone else had that problem too

I'll take another look at it, but all fields, including the name, will need to have been entered, the text will be centered if it has been entered
Yup! The text was centred but when I hit submit it immediately cleared
I double checked everything it should be working. You can just enter everything from the start and hold CTRL to skip through dialogue
It's not just the evidence, you need to be entering the identity as well
Thank you so much for the feedback! I plan to make the text input better in the future but since it was my first time coding a text parser I was limited in what I knew how to to do.
Unfortunatly since your comment does spoil the reveal of main gimmick of the game I'm going to delete it.
I'm not sure if I'm overthinking things or that the game might be broken, but i can not pass the password screen. Can I get some help?
It's the password written on the post-it note on the screen, both ERIKSON and Erikson will work
